Violet A. Duecker, born to Eternal Life, May 1, 2007, was born to Life on Dec. 14, 1929 in Chicago, Ill., to Gladys and Raymond Thebo.
Vi was a longtime resident of Shorewood, a member of Kappa Delta, Shorewood Women's Club, Shorewood Senior Resource Center, former Columbia Hospital volunteer, former Girl Scout leader, former member of Shorewood Conservation Committee and a Lawrence University graduate. She enjoyed creating award winning flower designs which were often contributed to charitable fund-raisers. She was one of the first volunteers for the Columbia Hospital pet visitation program. Vi was a special friend to many.
She was the beloved wife of Daniel D. Duecker for 55 years; loving mother of Debbie Duecker of Greenfield, Dave (Christine) Duecker of New Berlin and Anna (Chris) DeSmidt of Shorewood; proud grandmother of three, and further survived by other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Milwaukee. Interment took place at Kiel cemetery.
