PECANIERE- Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Carriere Zerangue, 93, will be held 1PM Tuesday November 26, 2014 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville with burial to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Ken Domingue will officiate services. Mrs. Zerangue a resident of Pecaniere passed away peacefully 12:40AM Saturday November 23, 2013 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.
She loved to cook, work puzzles, and had a passion for baking. Also she served on the St. Leo Altar Society.
A gentle and loving person she leaves behind her daughters Sandra Richard and husband Edmond of Leonville; Claudette Robin and husband Edsel of Pecaniere; Glenda Thibodeaux of Pecaniere; 7 grandchildren Jonathan Richard and wife Erika; Kirk Richard and wife Stephanie; Ronnie Richard and wife Aleta; Chris Robin and wife Jenny; Brian Robin; Lori Gerard and husband Mitch; Michael Thibodeaux; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and her beloved dog Molly.
Preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Rosa Lanclos Carriere; husband Euel Zerangue.
Visitation will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville 11AM Tuesday November 26, 2013 from 11AM until the time of services at 1PM.
