"Richard Ashworth, sr., died yesterday at the residence of his daughter Mrs. William Winne, Stop 9, Albany-Schenectady road. He was born in Staten Island, N. Y., and has resided in Cohoes for fifty years. He removed to Schenectady one year ago. Mr Ashworth was a member of St. John's church of this city. The survivors are five daughters, Mrs. John Hill of Cohoes, Mrs. William Winne of Schenectady, Mrs. James Graham of Cohoes, Mrs. William Quinn of Detroit, and Mrs. Dow Fonda of Rensselaer; four sons, Richard and Earl of Schenectady, William of Detroit and Arthur Ashworth of Cohoes, and one brother Joshua Ashworth of Cohoes. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence of his daughter Mrs. William Winne, Rev. Ernest J. Hopper, officiating. Burial will be in Waterford Rural cemetery."
