Claris Mable Despain Stone: Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, slipped away peacefully at the age of 82 on November, 22, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Axtell, UT November, 17, 1931 to Clare Despain and Mable Chidester. She married Marred Joseph Stone September, 12, 1949 and was sealed for time and all eternity October, 8, 2010.

Claris graduated from Gunnison High school in 1949 and later married her beloved husband of 59 years. Claris was a rancher's wife and knew the meaning of hard work and service, which she shared with her children and grandchildren.

She was an avid Utah Jazz fan, and loved watching any kind of sport especially if it involved family. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering, and scrapbooking. She was so full of life and loved to travel. As a member of the LDS church she served in the Relief Society, and was a girl's camp leader and young women's softball coach. She was a temple worker and served as ward librarian during the time of her passing.

She is survived by her children; Marlene Bemis of Salt Lake City, LuJean (Chan) Memmott of Scipio Vickie (Garth) Broderick of Hurricane, and Joseph M. Stone of Scipio. 14 Grandchildren and 19 Great-grandchildren. Sister Phyllis (Don) Quarnberg of Scipio. Brother's Darrell (Margie) Despain of Axtell, Don Ray (Eunice) Despain of Axtell and Charles (Annette) Despain of West Valley City.

Preceded in death by her parents D. Clare Despain and Mable Gwendolyn Chidester of Axtell, her husband Marden Joseph Stone of Scipio, and grandchildren Clinton Fred Christensen of Flowell and Justine Elise Memmott of Scipio.

The family would like to express gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses of the Fillmore Hospital and the cardiovascular ICU Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. As well as the Life Flight and Scipio Ambulance crews. We know that she could not have received more compassionate loving care.

Funeral services will be November, 27, 2013 at 12:00pm at the Scipio Ward chapel, Scipio UT. Friends may call Tues. November 26, 2013 from 6 to 8pm and Wed.
