89, of Bessemer, Alabama passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Ellen O'Rourke McAlister; her sister, Margaret McAlister; her spouses, Chase Nagle and Earnest Parsons. She is survived by her children, Luellen Nagle, Joeva (Ed) Briggs, Marcie (Tom) Reid, Chuck (Marie) Nagle, Jerry (Lynn) Parsons, Betty Knight; her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was a life-long member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, past president of her Altar Guild, officer of the PTA's at St. Aloysius School and Bessemer High School. She served as president of the Bessemer Junior Service League and the Bessemer Hall of History. She was a Charter board member of both the Bessemer Girls Club and the West Jefferson Historical Society. She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for five years and was later a den mother to the Special Ed. Cub Scout Troop at Jonesboro School. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bessemer, AL with burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home.
