RENDVILLE: Lenora "Babe" Jackson, 91, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, November 22, 2013.
She was born September 22, 1922 in Corning, the daughter of the late Vinton L. and Lydia Goins Smith.
She was a lifetime resident of Rendville and served as a Postal Clerk at the Rendville Post Office. She also worked as a Nurse's Aide in the home health care field.
Babe is survived by her children, Jerry (Anita) Jackson of Zanesville, Virgil Jackson, Jr. of Rendville and Charlotte Nowell of Columbus; seven grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren; two sisters, Francis Fisher of Canton and Margie (Don) Alexander of Reynoldsburg.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Victor E. Jackson; a great granddaughter; three brothers; and two sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S. Jackson St., New Lexington. Pastor Junior Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rendville Cemetery.
