Frances was the daughter of Robinson "Robert" & Caroline Carr. They came from New York to Wisconsin and settled in Tekamah in the 1850's (a first pioneer family of Burt County, NE)
Frances married Wellington Harrington around 1872 and they had daughters, Irmagard Cameron and Ellen Latta.

Just before going to press the sad news of the death of Mrs. Well Harrington, at Tekamah, was received. Mrs Harrington was the daughter of Mr. Robert Carr. The Harrington's are one of the oldest pioneer families of Burt county, and number their friends by the score, and many will be pained to learn of the death of this estimable lady. The last sad rites will take place at the home Saturday afternoon and all that is now mortal of that fond mother, wife and daughter will be laid to rest forever in the Tekamah cemetery.
