BERLIN -- Paul McKenzie, 77, of 834 Kent St., died Jan. 15, 2004, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon where he had been a patient. He was born in Woburn, Quebec, on Sept. 15, 1926, the son of Joseph and Mary (Fortin) McKenzie.

Mr. McKenzie was self-employed as a woodsman and a truck driver. He was also a lifelong member of Eagles Club and a member of Guardian Angel Parish, now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.

Besides his wife of 58 years, Cecile (Roberts) McKenzie, the family includes three sons, Robert G. McKenzie and Paul-Emile McKenzie, Jr., both of Berlin, and Raymond L. McKenzie of Gorham; three daughters, Paulette J. McKenzie and Jacqueline G. Bilodeau, both of Berlin, and Linda G. Gauthier Richard of Gorham; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Beatrice Gaignard of Woburn, Quebec; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son Gerard A. McKenzie in 1967.

Calling hours are Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St., Berlin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Church. After committal prayers, burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
