Born in Seneca, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Preston Mize and Bessie Brock Mize and wife of the late James Walter Black.
Mrs. Black was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, Kenny Black and wife Kathi, of Dacusville; three sisters, Juanita Mize and Jo Grant of Seneca, and Joann Black of Greenville; a brother, C.P. Mize, Jr., of Westminster; two granddaughters, Alecia Weber and husband David of Charleston, and Emilie Black of Cayce; and two great granddaughters, Ellaree Black and Ruby Weber.
A graveside service will be Friday at 12 Noon at Woodlawn Memorial Park with visitation from 10:30 - 11:30 am at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest prior.
The family is at their respective homes.
