Mrs. Estelle Stewart Chambers, 87, of 2622 Belhaven Road, Anderson, S.C., widow of Clyde Clifton Chambers, Sr., died Tuesday, February 13, 1990 at Anderson Memorial Hospital.
Born in Columbia, S.C., she was the daughter of the late William and Emma George Stewart. She was retired from Riverside Mill and was a charter member of River Street Baptist Church where she was a trustee of the church and a member of the Esther Sunday School Class.
Surviving are sons, Havern Chambers of Belton, S.C., Gordon and Clyde Clifton Chambers, Jr. of Anderson; daughters, Mrs. Horace (Grace) Powell of Hartwell, Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Fowler, Mrs. Van (Patsy) Campbell and Mrs. Bill (Eunice) Fuller of Anderson; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Service at 2 p.m. Thursday at River Street Baptist Church by the Revs. C. Timothy Clark and Stewart A. Fowler. Burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
