Mary Hester Dead
Mrs. Mary Hester, died Friday, May 4, at 4:45 p. m. at her home on Clay street. She was the wife of James Hester Sr., who preceded her in death ten years ago, and had one son who died in the service of the World war in France in 1918. She was 77 years of age, and was a life long resident of this city.
She leaves to mourn her death, eight children: Mrs. Harry Boellke, Mrs. Joseph Lambert and Mrs. Alfred Duffey all of Cincinnnatti, O., Mrs. Irvin Maudlin of Greensburg and Margaret, Gayle, James and Ed of this city, two bothers, William Higgins of Racine, Wis., and Edward Higgins of Columbus, and one sister, Sister Mary Rose who is teaching school in Taluca, Ill., twenty-one grand children, two great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Monday morning from the St. Mary's church in this city and burial in St. Mary's cemetery.
