BECK Eugene N. Beck, born March 20, 1919 in Louisburg, MO, the son of James Allen Beck and Nora Staples Beck passed away March 21, 2002 in St. Augustine, FL. He retired from the U.S. Navy following 30 years of distinguished and decorated service. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch #25 of St. Augustine. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years, Ruth E. Beck; his sons Michael Eugene Beck of Greenville, SC and James Allen Beck and wife Glenda of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren Nico, Bradley, Stephen, and Kaitlyn; great grandchildren Morgan, Max, and Willow; also his sister Zelma Wisehart of Granite City, IL. Chief Beck was preceded in death by his grandson Brian Beck. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday March 25, 2002 from the graveside in the Garden of the Good Shepherd at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park with Rev. Earl Ashe and Dr. Ronnie McKenzie officiating. Full military honors will be conferred by the U.S. Navy.
