ROCK ISLAND, Illinois -- Stella Marie Foster, 84, of Wapello, died on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the Unity Point Trinity Hospital in Rock Island, Illinois.
Funeral Service will held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. Burial will take place in Wapello Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at the funeral home.
Stella was born on November 6, 1928, in Port Louisa, the daughter of Clarence and Helen Wheeler Beeding. She married Dan Foster, Jr. and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1964.
Stella had worked at Thatcher Plastics and Heinz both in Muscatine, and at Sylvania in Burlington. She was a cook and waitress at the Capital Café in Wapello for several years.
Her family includes two daughters, Frances Davis and Tim Trzesniewski of Montesano, Washington, and Roberta Wiley and husband, Jerry, of Burlington; two sons, Dennis Foster and wife, Georgia, of Wapello, and David Foster Stropes and wife, Windy, of Muscatine; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Beverley Spitznogle, Bonnie Oberly, and Anna Moore, all of Wapello, and Evelyn 'June' Clayton of Letts; and two brothers, Clyde 'Pete' Beeding of Muscatine, and Jerry Beeding of Wapello.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Vivian Foster, Alice Hamilton, and Helen 'Florene' Wixom; and five brothers, Omer, Ronald, Harold 'Herb', Terry, and Billy Beeding.
