Mrs. Peterson Rites Monday
Services for Mrs. Roberta A. Peterson of Waverly, a former Albion and Marshalltown resident, will be at 1:30 pm Monday at Persel-Davis Chapel. The Reverend Aubrey Grindstaff will be in charge and burial will be in Riverside Cemetary. Mrs. Peterson died Friday (March 10, 1972) at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines where she had been a patient one week. She was born April 30, 1897 in Albion, a daughter of John William and Flora Denbow Lhamon. She was married to Clarence A. Peterson in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Mrs. Peterson was reared in Albion and Marshalltown and spent most of her life here, moving to Des Moines in 1955. After 15 years she moved to Waverly and was living there at the time of her death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Thornton of Prarie Village, Kansas, and Mrs. Ed (Marian Ann) Brogan of Porterville, California. There are twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Ruth Halsted of Des Moines and one brother, Archie Lhamon of Bloomington, Illinois. Her Parents, two brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death. Friends may call at Persel-Davis Funeral Home."
