Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Holmes, age 62 of Sioux City, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 in Sioux City after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Services will be held Monday November 25, 2013 at 11:00 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City. private family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. Cindy was born in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of JoAnn (Barrett) and Darrell Miille on January 28, 1951. She graduated from East High School in 1969. Cindy went on to earn a certificate from Western Iowa Tech to be a Dental Technician. She worked at Tri-State Dental for 28 years. Most recently she worked for the Sioux City Community School lunch program at Joy Elementary and was loved by the children and faculty. Cindy enjoyed watching the Game Show channel on television.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Paul, and her daughter Brittany, of Sioux City, step-daughter Kim and step-son Shannon She is also survived by her beloved aunt Patti Barrett; three sisters, Linda (Michael) Rose of Denver, Colorado, Darcy (Russ) Basalyga, and Stacy (Wayne Mercural) Miille, all of Sioux City. She loved all her nieces and nephews and one of her greatest joys was being a second grandma to all her great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Miille and her father, Darrell Miille.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Unity Point -St. Lukes Hospital, the June E. Nylen Cancer Center, and Hospice for all contributing to her care. A special thanks to Paul's family and Cindy's close friends, Connie Sherrill and Julie Koson for their love and support.
