Loretta Irene Goodwin, 77, of Muskogee passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 following injuries received in an automobile accident in Muskogee. Loretta was born January 17, 1936 in Clarmin, Illinois the daughter of George and Daisy (Chapel) Pflasterer. She graduated from Marissa Township High School in 1953 and married William O. Goodwin, Sr. on January 17, 1954. William was in the US Air Force so the couple lived in many places before settling in Muskogee in 1972. William preceded her in death on April 22, 1988. She was a member of the Muskogee Democratic Women's Organization and the American Postal Workers Union Auxiliary. Loretta enjoyed reading and being with her family. Loretta was also preceded in death by two sons, Terry and Kenneth Goodwin, four brothers and five sisters, and her beloved grandson Jacob Roberts, who was with her at the time of his death on November 22, 2013. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor James Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson.
