Delema C. Hale Godsey, 77, of Worthington and formerly of Linton, passed away at 10:50 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. Born Jan. 6, 1923 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Alpha and Delpha (Bowling) Hamilton. She was a member of the antique tractor club in Elnora, and the Linton Saddle Club. Survivors include, two daughters, Sherry McFarland of Jasonville and Barbara Morrison of Worthington; two brothers, Jasper Hamilton and Vernon Hamilton of Jasonville; two sisters, Mary Huey of Flora, Ill., and Wilma Woodward of Pekin, Ill.; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Hale in 1961, and her second husband, Ernest Godsey in 1984. Funeral services will be at Newkirk Funeral Home in Dugger at 1 p.m. on Friday with the Revs. John Booker and Sam Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Morris Chapel Cemetery near Dugger.
