J.S. Wilson died of slow fever at his home three miles south of here an Saturday Aug. 25, 1894, at 10 o'clock. The remains were carried to Blue Mound cemetery, on Spring Creek, Sunday. Funeral services were conducted by Brother Denington, a large crowd attended.
James E. Wilson was born in Crawford County Missouri On Oct.20, 1862.
The deceased leaves a wife and three children to mourn his death he was a good husband, a good father and a good, sober peaceful citizen, and was liked well by every one who knew him. He also leaves a mother and a step-father ten half sisters and four half brothers, J.W. Breedlove and family. This is the first member of the family they have had to give up to death. All the family but one sister, who was sick, attended the funeral. P. -----
