Elijah5 was the son of William1/John2/Charles3/Amariah4 and Rebecca (Shepard) Wentworth, born at Stoughton, MA, 31 December 1744. He moved to Braintree, where he sold homestead 11 April 1785, and moved to Maine. He was a lieutenant in the army of the Revolution. He married, 20 July 1769, Rebecca Capen, born 14 July 1747. He died at Canaan, Hancock ME, July 1810, and was buried in Knight's burial-ground, Westbrook, ME.
