Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Womack Collins, 83, were held Monday, March 29, from the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Rutherford officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park in Winchester.
Mr. Collins, a native of Moore County, died at the Franklin County Nursing Home March 27 following a lengthy illness.
She was the daughter of the late Payton Solomon Womack and Elizabeth Carter Womack. She was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Attawa, Illinois.
She is survived by two sons, I. A. Collins of Decherd and Thomas Collins of Hammond, Indiana; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Ferguson of Charlestown, Indiana, and Mrs. Gertrude Norvell of Detroit, Michigan; nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
