Sawyer County Record Feb. 22, 1912
John Gasink, a veteran of the Civil war and old resident near Seeley, died of cancer of the stomach tonight, aged 73 years. The following sons have been here during his last illnesses: Henry of New Ulm, Herbert of Vermillion, SD, Clarence of Canada, and Edward of Minneapolis, also his brother Albert and his brother-in-law Henry Hause, both of Wauseka. Further notice will be given next week.

John Gasink, a veteran of the Civil War and an old resident near Seeley, died of cancer of the stomach on Thursday evening aged 73 years old. Has a large family, and leaves a wife, sons Henry of New Ulm, Herbert of Vermillion, SD, Clarence of Canada, Edward of Minneapolis, MN, brother Albert, brother-in-law Henry Hause, both of Wauseca, all of whom were in attendance at the funeral.
