OBITUARY
BOWLING GREEN - Eloise Sharon WALKER, 65, of Bowling Green, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital West in Chesterfield.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Father Richard Frank will officiate. Burial will be in the Laddonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at the funeral home.
Mrs. WALKER was born September 26, 1938, in Hastings, Nebraska, to William George and Esther Elizabeth Jones VAN BOENING.
On July 20, 1964, in Bowling Green, she married Robert (Bob) WALKER. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Mike VAN BOENING and wife, Lois, of Bowling Green, Leland WALKER and wife, Christine, of Granite City, Illinois, and Robert WALKER Jr. and wife, Melissa, of St. Louis; one daughter, Regina WALKER-DeLaPORTE and husband, Dale, of Hannibal; one sister, Betty Jean CRUM of Mexico; two brothers, William VAN BOENING and Richard VAN BOENING, both of Paris; and 10 grandchildren.
Mrs. WALKER was a 1956 graduate of Vandalia High School. She and her husband lived and farmed on the family farm north of Vandalia from 1983 to 1992. They then moved to rural Bowling Green. She had been employed at Bobbie Brooks and Bridal Originals in Bowling Green as a seamstress, and as a cook at St. Clement School. She most recently was a personal care attendant at Ruth Jensen Village in Bowling Green. She attended the Christian Church in Vandalia and Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, raising flowers and cooking. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Pallbearers will be Matt VAN BOENING, Greg VAN BOENING, Drew VAN BOENING, Chris VAN BOENING, Charles VAN BOENING and Dale DeLaPORTE.
