NORTHEAST VALLEY - The 54-year-old woman found dead in her swimming pool this week was identified Tuesday as Leigh Rogers.
She was found about 11:45 a.m. Monday by her roommate at their home in the 6700 block of East Barwick Drive, an unincorporated area between Scottsdale and Phoenix near 66th Street and Dixileta Drive, said Joe Dietrich, a spokesman for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
The roommate saw Rogers cleaning the pool in her swimsuit when she left to get groceries, 30 minutes before returning to find her body in the pool, Dietrich said.
Alcohol and prior medical history are considered factors in the woman's death, which appears to be accidental, he said.
