Ellen Sizemore was born April 7, 1925 in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma to Leora and Vernon Gray. She passed away November 14, 2013 at Cordell, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 7 days.
Ellen grew up and attended school at Cheyenne, Oklahoma. After graduating she worked at Beavin's Tax and Tag Office. Ellen was married to Orbie Sizemore at Elk City on March 23, 1946 and they lived in Cheyenne for a time until Orbie was recalled into the military and she accompanied him during his tour of duty. After his discharge, they moved to Cordell to make their home. Ellen enjoyed seeing the world and had traveled throughout the U.S. from coast to coast and several countries internationally, but always looked forward to coming home. She was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Holiness Churcch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Beavin and Ida Von Buskirk.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, a brother-in-law, Charles Sizemore of California, a sister-in-law, Aleen Sizemore of Nevada and a host of other relativea and friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Whinery-Savage Chapel officiated by Pastor Mike Sutherland and Rev. Juanice Parkhurst. Burial will be at Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.
