Jesse Elmer Jacobs was born on November 21, 1928, and departed on November 13, 2013. He is a graduate of Piney Woods School. While attending Tougaloo College, he met and married Marguerite Varnado and they resided in Charleston, Mississippi for over 30 years.
Elmer was a retired Educator and Coach from Charleston High School. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. He was an avid outdoorsman and touched the hearts of many throughout his life.
He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Reuben (Millicent) Jacobs, three daughters, Paula Jacobs Lewis, Carmen Jacobs, Fran Jacobs, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
