Tonya Raye Shirley Graddy, devoted wife, mother and "Grams" was sadly taken from us on November 15, 2013. Toni, as she was fondly known to her family and friends, was born on September 17, 1964 in Mobile, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Nikki Shirley; her parents, Joyce Shirley Richardson and Oliver "Chief" Shirley; and one sister, Melanie Ann Shirley. Toni is survived by her loving husband of twenty-eight years, Kenny Graddy; her daughter, Jessica Graddy; her precious grandchildren, Kylee Shirley and Brooklin Graddy; three sisters, Penny (Frank) Turner, Deborah Colquett and Elizabeth (Jason) Wood; three brothers, Raymond Shirley, Daymond Shirley and Robert Richardson, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Toni was a chemical operator at Dupont in Axis, Alabama for seventeen years before becoming a fully qualified refinery operator at Chevron Pascagoula Refinery, where she was employed for the last five years. She loved her co-workers and considered them her family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Toni's name to St. Jude Children's Hospsital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or by phone at (800) 805-5856.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneralhom-mobile.com.
