Russel D. Stephens, 84, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2013.
Mass of the Resurrection: 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 705 Airport Freeway in Hurst. Officiant: Rev. Dr. Vernon Gotcher.
Interment will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Russell was born September 30, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas. Russell attended North Texas State University and East Texas State University. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and later became an Air Traffic Controller. Russell belonged to the Tin Can Sailors of Texas, Hurst Masonic Lodge and was Past Master of Eugene Green Masonic Lodge.
Survivors: Wife, Ada; daughters, Cheryl and Sandra; daughter-in-law, Beverly; son-in-law, Chris; grandchildren, Kristi, Colleen, Shaina, Kathryn, Jessica and Sean, 3 great-
grandchildren.
