Jennifer "Jenni" Ferris, 29, left this world to be with our Lord of grace, comfort and forgiveness on the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 18, 2013. Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3314 Dryden Road, Fort Worth. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole. Jenni was born May 2, 1984. She was an eighth-grade graduate of St. Andrew Catholic School and a high school graduate of North Crowley. Jenni was a loving, giving and beautiful daughter, sister and devoted mother. Her greatest love and most cherished accomplishment was God's gift of her daughter, Morgan. People often referred to Morgan as Jenni's "mini-me." Together they enjoyed camping, bicycle riding, reading books and Morgan's dance and school activities. In addition, Jenni was an avid sports fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Texas Rangers. She was a passionate student of yoga, worked as an administrative assistant at North Texas High School Rodeo Association and spent her summers working as a private swim instructor. Survivors: Her daughter, Morgan Ferris; her parents, Jerry and Debbie Plake; brother, Jon Plake; former spouse, Michael Ferris; his mother, Yolanda "Dolly" Ferris; his sisters, Marisa Ferris and Joan Ferris Plachetzki; grandparents, Ashley and Shirley Cowder of Rio Rancho, N.M.; godparents, James and Carol Plake of Mount Lebanon, Pa.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from Albuquerque, N.M., and Pittsburgh, Pa.
