  Funeral services for 13-year-old David Michael Blakey of Route 1, St. Jacob will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home, Troy.
  The Rev. Noel Hutchings of the Bethel Baptist Church, Troy, will officiate.
  The youth died Thursday in Children's Hospital, St. Louis after a prolonged illness. He had had muscular dystrophy since he was three years old.
  He was born in Highland June 20, 1959 and was a life-long resident of St. Jacob. David was the son of Charles and Rosella (Hodge) Blakey. They survive along with four brothers, Darrell of Highland, and Duane, Timothy and Rodney, all at home and two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Brenda) Tedford of Collinsville and Donna of the home.
  Also surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hodge and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Blakey.
  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
  Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy.

Pallbearers were Homer Pettus, Bill Tracy, Chuck Rogier and Charles Mondy.
