Anna Maurine Carlson Bogue was
born Aug. 17, 1912 in Sac City to Wilbur
Larz and Fairy Ethel (Saunders) Marple.
She attended country school. In March
1937, she married Orin LaVerne Carlson
in Sac City. They lived and farmed in
Buena Vista and Sac counties. LaVerne
died in 1966. In 1974 she married Benjamin
Bogue. They continued to live on
the farm. Ben died in 1995 and Maurine
moved to an apartment in Sac City and
she remained there until she moved to
Loring Care Center in 1996.

Maurine was a member of First Presbyterian
Church in Sac City, United
Presbyterian Women, Merry Meeters
Club and Loring Hospital Auxiliary. She
taught Sunday School for many years at
the Presbyterian Church in Odebolt.
Hobbies that she enjoyed were gardening,
raising chickens, quilting, sewing,
playing cards, visiting with friends and
neighbors and spending time with her
children and grandchildren.

Maurine was preceded in death by
her parents; two husbands; an infant son,
Larry; and two brothers, Claire and Kenneth
Marple.
