Dell M. Douglass, 96, of Carrollton, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at Autumn Leaves of Carrollton Care Center. Born March 21, 1917, in McAlester, she was the daughter of Leonard and Mary Mamie (Folsom) England. She grew up in McAlester, graduated from high school here and had lived here all her life. She was married Noel Douglass, and he preceded her in death during World War II. She owned and operated Dell's Beauty Shop on East Seminole for more than 60 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of McAlester. Survivors include one sister, Margaret Albright, Carrollton; nieces and nephews, Joe Collins and wife, Chris, Plano, Texas, Mike Albright and wife, Karen, of Tulsa, John England and wife, Laura, Dallas, Bevin England, Lubbock, Texas, Todd England and wife, Carole, Highland Village, Texas, and Mary Elizabeth Moon, Highland Village, and a sister-in-law, Patsy Overfield and her husband, John, Kerrville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, and a brother, Leonard England Jr. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Rodney Briggs officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
