AHRENS Mary Johnston Ahrens died at home on Monday, November 18, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Charles Henry Ahrens. Mother of Erin A. Dazzo. Mother-in-law of Frank P. Dazzo. Grandmother of Hillary Anne Dazzo (Edward Simpson). Great Grandmother of Bentley Anthony Simpson. Sister of the late Alex Johnston, Eddie Johnston and Lavine Johnston Pigg. Daughter of the late Alex Johnston and Lavine Doclar Johnston. Age 95, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for over 60 years. The family would like to thank Serenity Hospice, especially Laine, Cathy and Beverly. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105, would be appreciated. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM.
