Mrs. Wilbur (Verland C.) Brower, 73, of 255 2nd Street NW, Carrollton, died Sunday at her home after an illness of five months. Born June 3, 1891, Mrs. Brower was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Shelly) Campbell. A retired employee of Surety Rubber Co. here, she was a member of Carrollton Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge No. 783, being a past noble grand.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Leila Roberts of American Fork, Utah; one step-daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Grunder of Carrollton; one step-son, Kenneth Brower of Columbiana and a number of nieces and nephews. Her first husband, Roy Beadle, died in 1954 and her late husband died January 23, 1964. Services were Wednesday at the Sweeney Funeral home here with Rev. C. E. Achberger officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery, Carrollton, Rebekah services were Tuesday evening.
