1935-2013 Jeannine A. (Lawrence) Gliwski, 77, of 93 Effingham Road, Ossipee, N.H., a native and longtime resident of Adams, peacefully passed away Thursday afternoon, November 14, 2013, at her daughter's home. She was born in Adams on December 13, 1935, the daughter of the late Edward B. and Jeannette I. (Kirby) Lawrence. She attended Notre Dame Elementary School, in Adams, and graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School, North Adams. Jeannine last worked as a Title I Teacher at the Cheshire Elementary School from 1976 until retiring in 1995 due to health complications. Prior to that, she was a Kindergarten teacher at the former Notre Dame School in Adams, and had worked for several years at the former Sprague Electric Co. and Paradise Electric. She was a communicant of the Parish of Blessed John Paul and the former Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, in Adams, where she served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister for 30 years. She was the General Chairperson of the Parish Bazaar for 15 years, a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne where she served as President for 20 years, a past President of the Para-Professional Association and a member of the Eileen Barrett Women's Breast Cancer Support Group. Jeannine was an avid collector and designer of paper dolls. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and after struggling through Alzheimer's there is comfort in knowing she is now at peace. We will miss her. Her husband, Casimer Gliwski, whom she married on November 24, 1955, died on March 3, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Clay and her husband, Bruce Stuart, both with whom she resided with since 2009; a granddaughter, Sarah Catherine Clay of Ossipee, N.H.; Bruce's daughters, Jordan Medina of Florida, and Valerie Cruz of Arizona; and a brother, Robert Lawrence of Lexington, Ky. She was predeceased by a brother, George Lawrence, in 1977. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Saturday , November 23rd, at 10:30 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the Parish Church of Blessed John Paul, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
