Services were held at 3 pm Wednesday, November 24, 1943, at the Wanette Chapel for O. W. Cottrell, 71, who died at his home in Wanette at 10:30 Monday following a heart attack. Bro D. W. Shipman of the Church of Christ of Ada officiated. Cottrell who came to Wanette from Texas 49 years, is survived by his widow Mrs. Eva Cottrell; five sons, Edgar L. Cottrell, Oakland, Calif.; Owen H. Cottrell, Wanette; William L. Cottrell, Thalia, Tex.; Richard E. Cottrell, Shawnee; and Lonnie L. Cottrell of the army, stationed in Australia; four daughters, Mrs. Grace Storey, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Marie Boas, Wanette; Mrs Ruth Booth Wanette and Mrs. Edna PoIk, Houston, Tex.; one sister Mrs. Kaybond of Pampa, Tex.; Two brothers, Robert and Henry Cottrell, both of Pampa, Texas; and 28 grandchildren.
Burial was made at the Wanette cemetery.
