"Joe Buddy Day, 94, of Waterloo died Friday, February 11, 2011, at his home, which he built and lived in for over 70 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 14, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. T Roberts and Rev. S Pate will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Day was born on July 24, 1916 in Cleburne County, Alabama and was the son of John Marion Day and Mary Frances McElroy Day, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Wilson Day; three sons, Mack Day, Don Day and Joseph Day; one great-granddaughter, Leanna McKee; seven sisters; and one brother. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Long County Hunting Club for over 50 years and was a Mason. He loved fox hunting with his nephew, Travis Ethridge and raised and trained hunting dogs."
