Richard Lee "Dick" Foster, 68, Independence, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2004. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 30 at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Park Lawn Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Foster was born July 2, 1936, in Kansas City, and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a Machinist and had worked for TWA for 43 years, before retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Machinist Union and attended First Baptist Church of Raytown. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Foster, of the home; son Richard Foster, Independence, MO; four daughters, Karen Purkey, Harrisonville, MO, Diana Carver, Independence, MO, Tammy Lomax, Blue Springs, MO, and Anna Daub, Independence, MO; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
