Candice Moree (Braddy) Lancaster, 59, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, November 15, 2013, in Irving, Texas.

Candice was born October 6, 1954 in Odessa, Texas to Lorene and Bert Braddy, and was the youngest of their five children. Candice spent her childhood in Odessa, graduating from Permian High School.

Candice moved about the country in her young adult years, eventually settling in the Dallas area and building what ended up being a lifelong career with Southwest Airlines. She loved her years at SWA! She like the culture of the company and she loved the people with whom she worked. She never missed a SWA company party and she said they could throw the best party ever!

Although she settled in the "big city" she never forgot her West Texas roots. She held onto and modeled the simple life a small town offers. Candice loved country music and she loved her girlfriends! Her best childhood and lifelong friends still live in Odessa and Candice loved getting together with them, sharing stories and laughing.

Candice's personality and character developed early and carried through into adulthood. She was witty with a dry and sometimes sarcastic sense of humor. She had beautiful eyes and a smile- or more like a grin, which would leave you wondering what she was thinking? Candice was a seeker.

The love of Candice's life was her 4 years old grandson. She adored him! -and he adored her too! In recent years, all of the hours she wasn't working were spent with him. Her biggest regret would have been not being able to see him grow up. We will all miss Candice terribly but there is no doubt, he will miss her the most!

Candice is survived by her son and her grandson. She is also survived by her three sisters, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her father William Bert Braddy, her mother Lorene Braddy, her brother William (Billy) David Braddy and her brother-in-law Larry Tate.
