Josephine Marie Marchiafava Ivey,a resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet at the age of 82.
Visiting at St. George Catholic Church, Mass of Christian Burial.Interment in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Anna Marie Grissom and husband Pete Grissom and Janice Ivey Jones, all of Baton Rouge; sister, Diane Garig Quiroz of Gonzales;
grandchildren, Donna Smith Firmin of Baton Rouge, Michael Joseph Richardson and wife Kim L. Richardson of St. Amant, Trevon Sidney Miller and wife Dori Del Rio Miller of Baton Rouge, Chandra Smith Alford and husband Greg D. Alford of Knoxville, Tenn., and Tasha Mignon Jones and Tristan "Trey" Paul Jones, all of Baton Rouge;
and 11 great-grandchildren, Shane M. Firmin, Todd M. Firmin, Tyson M. Mire, Michael J. Richardson Jr., Tyler D. Alford, Peyton T. Alford, Taylor J. Alford, Taylor Wayne Pourciau, Cameron Miller, Kylie Miller and Kolbi Richardson.
Pallbearers will be Michael J. Richardson, Trevon Sidney Miller, Tristan P. "Trey" Jones, Shane Firmin, Todd Firmin and Wayne LaFosse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Porter Ivey.
She was a parishioner of St. George Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
