In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Gibson and two sisters, Annie Sue Lillard and Betty Elizabeth Gibson.
He is survived by a son, Bobby Gibson and his wife, Jan of Waynesville and a daughter, Helen and her husband, Donald Revis of Waynesville; four sisters, Jackie Warren of Canton, Emma Jo Gibson and Charlotte Baldwin of Clyde and Margaret Bozarth of Bethel.
