Carroll A. King Jr., 74, of Haynesville, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013. He was the widower of Pauline Akers King, the son of the late Carroll and Nettie Frances King, a lifetime member of Totuskey Baptist Church and a retired correctional officer for Haynesville Correctional Center Unit 17 with 25 years of service. He was very active in local ministries by singing at area nursing homes and being active in the Warsaw USDA food distribution.
He is survived by his son, Mark D. King and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, who were very dear to him. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lois King Parr and three brothers, Bertrand King, Roland King Sr. and Elbert King.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Totuskey Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Danny Maupin officiated. Pallbearers were Roland L. King Jr., Roland L. King III, Dusty King, Phillip Morgan, Dale R. Nash, Brian L. Vanlandingham II and Wayne L. King. Honorary pallbearers were Jason King, Robert E. King, Larry L. King and James P.
