Funeral services for Charles R.
Orem, 90, of Rt. 1 Forest, were
Saturday in Russiaville, with the
Rev. Dan Martin and the Rev.
Gen Voss officiating. Burial was
in Russiaville Cemetery.
He died Wednesday of last
week after being in failing health
for six months.
Born Dec. 23, 1884, near
Russiaville, he was the son of
Joseph and Mary (Cobb) Oren.
He was married Aug. 6,1908, to
Faye Merrick, who died July 7,
1971.
He was a retired farmer and a
member of Union Baptist
Church, near Forest.
Surviving are six sons, including
Kenneth Orem of Burlington;
four daughters; 26 grandchildren
and 32 great grandchildren.
