He and his beloved wife Gladys (Barndt) Long celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in September.
Born in Upper Salford Twp., he was a son of the late Russel and Agnes (Barndt) Long.
He was employed as a truck driver for Raymond Long Trucking and as a crane operator for the former FMC Corporation for more than 20 years prior to his retirement in 1983.
Mr. Long was a member of Little Zion Lutheran Church in Telford. An avid Phillies fan, he also enjoyed watching stock car races at Grand View Speedway and in Reading.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sisters: Ada Lacey of Los Angeles, CA, Verna Constanzer of Telford, Maria Pizza of Telford, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, November 22, 2013 in the Little Zion Lutheran Church, Telford, PA 18969. Interment followed in the adjoining church cemetery.
