Found in The State 27 August 1966: Mrs. Edwin Gustavus Quattlebaum, 94, died Friday night in a local nursing home after a long illness. Mrs. Quattlebaum was the former Mary Elizabeth (May) Tindal, of Clarendon County, daughter of the late James E. and Mary Elizabeth Connors Tindal. Her husband, Dr. E. G. Quattlebaum, D. D. S., died in 1949. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Dr. Edwin G. Quattlebaum Jr. of Rockford, Ill., and three daughters, Mrs. Glenn W. Rainey of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Watten Holland and Miss Lois Quattlebaum of Columbia.
