Born March 28, 1940 in Middlesboro, Kentucky she was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Monday) Treadway. She married William G. Sharp on October 12, 1957 in Monroe.
Geneva was employed for several years as a cook by the Mercy Memorial Nursing Center. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going shopping with her son.
Surviving are her husband William; children James Allen Sharp of Adrian, Karen D. Derbeck of Monroe and William G. (Irene) Sharp, Jr. of Monroe; grandchildren Joseph Ball, Scottie Ball, Ashley Sharp and James Sharp; great-grandchildren Peyton Ball and Gavin Ball; brothers, Gillis Treadway of Ohio, John (Addie) Treadway and Donnie Treadway both of Monroe; sisters, Billie Willis, Josephine (Ron) Gregory and Janice Treadway all of Monroe.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Tammy L. Ball; grandchildren Tamara Derbeck, Chance Derbeck and Billy Maxie; brothers, Leon, Jerry and Clyde Treadway and sister Omie Tidwell.
