She resumed college study in 1963 at Cal State Long Beach; after completing her Bachelor's, she studied Linguistics at UCLA. As a TA, Delores taught some freshman English courses back at Long Beach ('68- apx '70). Physical and emotional health issues then sidelined her; she resumed work briefly ('78-'86) before retiring.
Relatives and friends remember her lovely penmanship, as well as extraordinary crocheting skills— by her later years, she was crafting lace doilies with sewing thread and a #16 hook.
