Arnold L. Lutz
Arnold L. Lutz, 84, a lifelong resident of 44 Main St., Conyngham, died Tuesday evening at Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center following a brief illness.
Arnold was the son of the late John and Laura (Swank) Lutz and the last surviving member of his immediate family.
A 1939 graduate of West Hazleton High School, he was last employed at the (former) St. Regis Packaging Plant, Valmont Industrial Park.
Mr. Lutz was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Conyngham, and a member and two-time past president of the Butler Township Senior Citizens.
He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin infant brothers; sisters, Mary Lutz, Myrtle George, Maude Rhoades, Hazel Lawder, Vida Coolidge, Pearl Rathmann, Emma Berge and Mabel Kellmer; and several nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his daughter, Bonnie Whitebread, Drums; a son, Arnold W. Lutz, and his wife, Carol, Northumberland; a daughter, Helen James, and her husband, Robert Jr., Drums; a grandson, Jason James, Drums; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial in Union Cemetery, Conyngham.
The funeral arrangements were in charge of Krapf & Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 530 W. Butler Drive, Drums.
