From Rob Minteer:

The picture at left was labeled "Flo Beck - Pop's first love". "Pop" was my great-grandfather James Minteer, and the labeling was done by his daughter Ruth, my Grandaunt. That picture and many others went to my Uncle Marvin after Ruth's death, then eventually came to me as the Family Historian. The check mark indicates to me that the woman standing is Flo Beck. If anyone in her family knows anything about the time she spent in Pittsburgh, I would be very interested in hearing the stories. Please contact me through this memorial.
---------
In 1870 she lived with her parents, half-brothers James Schout, Seymour Beck, and Addison Beck, half-sisters Emma and Amanda Beck, and 19-year-old farm laborer Adam Raymond on a farm in Weathersfield Township, Trumbull County, OH. Her father owned real property worth $7000 and personal property valued at $4000. Her mother also owned real property worth $4000.

In 1880 she, her parents, Seymour, Addison, and Amanda lived there on the farm.

In 1900 she was a boarder in a boarding house at 329 Second Avenue (now Boulevard of the Allies) in Pittsburgh, PA.

In 1910 she lived in a house she owned, mortgage free, at 548 Woodland Avenue (now Woodland Street NE) in Warren, OH. A renter, 43-year old M Catherine Scott, lived there with her. They were both shown as having their own incomes.

In 1920 she lived in the same house, and had a boarder living there--66-year-old widowed butcher Louis Klingensmith, from PA. She had no occupation, nor was she shown as having her own income.

(NOTE: The 1870 census incorrectly gave her birthplace as PA. All other censuses show OH, and her death certificate gives the added detail of the township and county.)
