John was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 13, 1929, son of the late John H. and Florence (Rockhill) Farrow. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the American Legion Post 0195 in Oakville, CT. After 35 years at Bristol Babcock, John retired in 1988. He was an avid reader, loved dogs, and dogs loved him.
Besides his wife of 25 years, he leaves a son, John H. Farrow III and his wife Glenda, of Bonita Springs, Florida; a daughter, Donna Pelkey and her husband Christopher, of Cheshire, CT; four grandchildren, Kristin Pelkey, Amy Pelkey, John H. Farrow IV, and Jenna Hatfield; a great-grandson, Colton John Hatfield.
