PONTIAC -- Lottie Lorraine Attig, 84, of 16 Carol Court, Pontiac, died Wednesday (Sept. 3, 2003) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Pontiac, the Rev. Gretchen Stinebaugh and the Rev. Jason Woolever officiating.

Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, and for one hour before the service at the church on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Memorials may be made to Livingston County Humane Society and Pontiac Library.

She was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Pontiac, a daughter of Oscar F. and Nora Shaffer Anderson. She also lived in California and Michigan most of her life. She married Cecil Attig in Birmingham, Mich., in 1943.

Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Anderson Coyne, Pontiac; one niece, Mary (Jay) Anderson Mickow, Princeton; three grandnieces, Amy Coyne, Naperville; Julie Coyne, Boston; and Chelsea Mickow, Princeton; two nephews, Joseph A. Coyne, Pontiac, and John (Ruth) A. Coyne, Frankfort; and two grandnephews, Hunter Mickow and Colin Mickow, both of Princeton.

Her parents, husband and one sister, Bernice Anderson Wood, preceded her in death.

She was in banking for more than 40 years, being in charge of operations. She was named the Outstanding Female Banker in 1961 by the American Women in Banking Association and received the Jeanne Arnett Award in Atlantic City.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pontiac; Pontiac Women's Club; Livingston County Historical Society; Livingston County Humane Society; and Love Circle of the church. She graduated from Pontiac High School and attended Illinois State University.

She enjoyed international traveling, pets and gardening.
